RETRO-LY BLUE..

Hi precious readers,

I would like to thank all people who visit my site. I appreciate all of you and your comments.

In this post, the theme is blue and retro. I think the half jacket
I'm wearing gives the retro vibe and considering how old it is, that
vibe is pretty much authenitic.

posing for these photos was fun and made me feel like a pro model, which I am, for my blog anyway. I hope you like em..

what's the deal with the water dispenser?? That was my way of styling the shoot and I felt it complemented the blue outfit.

love these blue shoes, they are so cute.

I wore a pearl necklace around my wrist. Remember the time I wore a purple belt as a bracelet?

I believe everyone one is entitled to their own opinion so whats yours? Gimmie feed back..

In other news, expect a DIY post coming soon. I will be posting on how to weave a long necklace into a chunky bracelet..

I thought I'd share a joke I found hillarious, this is easily my best joke, funny every time.

woman got on a bus holding a baby. The bus driver said, “That has got

her fare into the fare box and took an aisle seat near the rear of the
bus. The man seated next to her sensed that she was agitated and asked
her what was wrong "The bus driver just insulted me!” she fumed. The
man sympathized and said, “Hey! He’s a public servant and he has no
right to insult the passengers.” "You’re right!” she said. “I think you
should go back up there and give him a piece of your mind.” The man
said. “Here, I'l hold your monkey for you!”

WHEN I'M FEELING DOWN.

Hello my precious readers,

I hope you are having a lovely week. I am in the middle of my exams and my stress levels are at an all time high. Last minute studying, finishing up on assignments and bla bla bla boring stuff.

Cut to the good part. High heels.. I love them and when I'm feeling down, nothing boosts my confidence like a pair nice of heels..
When you're feeling low, wear high.... he he.

So anyway taking a break from studying I came across these Dolce Vita jeweled heels.

It's velvet and I love the colour.

And top it off with this lovely hat.



Yeah, I know, Its got a brown band. That's why Id wear it :)

Noritaka Tatehana..

Who is Noritaka Tatehana?

Well, he is a 25-yr old young and upcoming designer who hails from Japan. He is based in Omotesando, Tokyo.

He graduated from Tokyo National University of fine arts in March this year and majored in textile arts.

Now, we all know Lady Gaga and her gaga heel-less gravity defying
shoes, ever wondered who makes them?? Two words, Noritaka Tatehana.

On average, the shoes are about 23 cm tall, (thats about 9.1 inches,
wow, I always thought 6 inches was quite tall, hmm..) and the get even
taller.

a pair would set you back about $2,500 to $4,000 (roughly 300,000
Ksh. Its either the vitz or the shoes.. ha ha) Given the intricate
design involved in creating these magnificent art works, id say they
are well worth the money. Now as for the vitz..

I guess thats enough literature review, now let his work speak for him







And now the most Qualified model for Noritaka's shoes,
ladies and gentlemen, Gaga..





Im waiting for the day she falls off a pair of these shoes. They look so unstable.. ( No sadistic wishes..)

would you consider wearing such shoes?? I know it would be out of the question for most of us in Kenya. Can you imagine walking on our dirt ridden walkways all the while dodging cobble stones and mud puddles.. That would be quite the sight.

Im sure even the boda boda guys would offer to gve you a lift for free. It would go something like " we, madam kuja tu nikubebe bure. Naona siku yako imeharibika mapema, viatu yote imevnjika..". " Na nikuulize, unabalance namna gani??" (Question: Is it still called a lift if its on the back of a bike??? )

Vintage lace up booties!!

Yesterday was such a lovely day. It started with a beautiful morning. The sun was up on time, there were no showers of rain, which is usually an excuse for me to lie in for a few minutes.. (well, sometimes an hour or two, and as a result i have missed almost all my morning classes this week.)

After getting ready, I was on my way to school, and thats when I saw them.. The vintage lace up boots I never knew I wanted. So I did the only thing I could do, I bought them and that set me back 100 shillings only. Oh happy day!!

The nice lady, who was suprised that I had bought them (they are one size bigger, which isn't as bad as one size too small) packed them and handed them to me and I walked away whistling- ok maybe I wasn't whistling..

Maybe I should also point out that as soon as I got to school,  I put them on. They are so comfortable, I could walk in them all day. Plus don't you just love the colour??

what do you think about my new, or not so new boots??

I intend to style an outfit around them and will be posting pics asap. (as soon as possible - dummies guide to abbreviations)
